BAKEMARK UK LAUNCHES NEW EXTRA MOIST TOFFEE CAKE MIX
BakeMark UK has introduced a new Extra Moist Toffee Cake Mix to its successful Craigmillar cake mix portfolio.
The delicious Extra Moist Toffee Cake Mix joins the Plain and Chocolate Extra Moist Cake Mix varieties to support two of the fastest growing sectors of the cake market – cup cakes and loaf cakes. Offering the customer a really moist cake with a premium and indulgent eating experience, the range now caters for all end user tastes.
The new mixes are ideal for making many variants of cakes but in particular cup cakes – one area of the cake market which has seen massive growth over the last twelve months, with continual growth year on year. Sales in the last 12 months have increased by 13.6 per cent to £33.5m, adding a total value of £10m to the cupcake market in the last two years and with the first National Cupcake Week taking place from the 2 – 8th March, figures are forecast to soar even further. This rapid growth is due to an increase in household penetration, with a jump up from 11.6 per cent to 32.6 per cent in UK household purchasing cup cakes in 2008*.
The Extra Moist Toffee Cake Mix is ideal for creating delicious loaf cakes such as the Sticky Toffee Loaf Cake. To create this product, simply deposit the Extra Moist Toffee cake batter into mini loaf cases and bake. Once cool inject with RTU Toffee Filling (TDG).
Tap into the growing cup cake market and offer customers delicious treats such as the Toffee & Choc Cup Cake. To make, simply deposit 25g or 40g of Extra Moist Toffee Cake batter into cup cake cases and bake. When cool, decorate with Caramel or Chocolate Crembel by melting the icing to 40-50°C and flooding the top of the cakes. For a kitsch finish, beat air into the icing and pipe onto the cup cake.
